scarabée sur cornaline. Le plat gravé d’un personnage
masculin assis, tourné vers la gauche. A la jonction
des deux têtes, un pendentif en forme d’amphore avec
anses à la grecque. Scarabée: XIXe siècle. Dim scarabée

A 19th revival gold necklace with a large central pendant with
rams heads and amphora set with a large central carnelian
engraved scarab. The style directly influenced from the Ancient
Greek and Etruscan jewellery production became very
famous during the Grand Tour and the 19th century. First used
as a way of studying the ancient technologies, then it became
a trend among the jewellers.
