History: Natalia Danko is considered the founder of models
Soviet porcelain. From 1919 to 1941, she directed the sculpture workshop
of the state porcelain factory. She has created more than 300 works which
constitute a kind of porcelain chronicle of the first decades of the
diverse life of post-revolutionary Russia. The model we present
is one of the scenes of the colorful life of the streets of Petrograd in the time of the
Soviets, seen by the author and skillfully embodied in porcelain.
Work is executed realistically with careful study of detail
and clothes. The delicate painting is harmoniously combined with the
shapes and revitalizes the sculpture, giving it a special decoration.
