The 14-year-old Little Dancer is a wax sculpture presented by Edgar Degas at the 1881 Independents exhibition.
The Degas Committee contractually authorized the reduction in bronze to a height close to 70 cm for 38 individually stamped bronzes as follows:
26 bronzes marked with the letters of the alphabet from A to Z.
9 bronzes marked from I/IX to IX/IX.
1 bronze marked “HEIR” intended for the Degas Committee.
2 bronzes marked HC1/2 and HC2/2.
This Little Dancer 70 cm letter U is registered in the Committee's computer database.
This recording is intended for the production of a Catalog Raisonné of the sculptures of Degas.
A certificate from the Degas Committee dated December 19, 2022 will be given to the purchaser.
