The Principality is the venue for a huge number of international events (the Monaco Yacht Show, Monaco Classic Week, the International Show Jumping Festival, the Rose Ball, the Red Cross Ball, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament, motor-racing grand prix events, and more). It is also a hub for conventions and for tourists. Services 100, 100X, 110 and 112, operated by Ligne d’Azur, link Nice and Monaco, with buses running every 15 to 30 minutes. Several stops are served in the Principality.
The bus is also an option from the airport, with the Nice Airport Xpress No. 110 service to Menton passing through Monaco. This service uses the motorway and is therefore quicker (between 45 minutes and an hour). It stops at several locations in the Principality.
TRAIN – HELICOPTER
Héli Air Monaco and MonacAir. Depending on which operator you choose, a one-way trip from Nice Airport to Monaco will cost between €140 and €160, with returns in the region of €260–280. Both companies operate one helicopter leaving Nice or Monaco every 15 minutes. You will then have access to a free shuttle service between Monaco’s heliport (in the Fontvieille district) and your destination (or departure point) in the Principality.
Grabbing a taxi is the easiest option. Expect to pay between €75 and €90 for a 30-minute journey if traffic is flowing smoothly.
There are numerous vehicle rental companies in the Principality of Monaco.
